  • 前Volumeの1話目公開時と同様、本エピソードの公開直後（北米中部時間のAM 10:00）にRooster Teethのウェブサイトへのアクセスが非常に多くなったため一時的に閲覧できない状態となった[1]。このとき技術責任者のAdam BairdはウェブサイトがDDoS攻撃を受けているという誤った報告を受けている[2]。また、その後動画の再アップロードが必要となり公開時間はPM 3:00になると発表された[3]。その穴埋めとしてvolume 4のオープニング動画が一般に公開されている[4]。最終的には予定より早く問題が解決し、本エピソードはPM 1:00頃に公開された[5]。
  • タイトルの"The Next Step"はVolume 1の"The First Step"とかけたものである。
    • ルビーの"Bad landing strategy!"というセリフも"The First Step"の内容を想起させるものである。
  • セイラムが会談の場に現れるときの曲は"A Dark Cabal"である。作曲者のAlex Abrahamは以前、この曲をSoundCloudにアップロードしていた。
